permanent magnets motors
Where can I get a transformer or power supply to a run a 12-24 DC Motor?
I have a DC Permanent Magnet Motor that is rated at 12-24 Volts DC and 5.1 AMPs. I want to purchase a transformer that I can plug into a 115V wall cicuit to run the motor.
You cannot use a transformer, they work with AC only and you need DC for your motor.
You can buy plug in power supplies at places like radio shack, although 24 volts and 5 amps is not a small one.
You may need a variable supply, ie adjustable. Search on line. here is one: http://www.swliquidators.com/powersupplies.html
