Is a copper bb dangerous if left in the body?
I got shot in the buttocks through a pair of shorts, and now almost a week later and the scab is healed I feel a bump about an inch away from the scab. Is it possible that this is just scar tissue, if not what would the easiest way to figure out if there is a bb in there without using x-ray. I.e. magnet
By dangerous I mean what will happen to the bb over time within my body? I’ve been told it would oxidize and could cause tetanus.

Also, a follow up question, if there really is a bb in there whats the situation with metal detectors and even MRI’s?
People walk around with bullets left in their bodies all the time. The bb is probably still there, hence the bump you feel. If you are concerned you should go to the doctor, probably even a Doctors on Duty or other similar clinic would be able to take care of it for you. And you should at least get a tetanus shot if you have not had one in ten years.
If you get a temperature or if the area around the bb feels hot to the touch you should be seen immediately.
